Emmie is one of those students who is just plain awesome. She has been training for 20 years and in that time has achieved a great deal. She has scored multiple competition placements and competed in Europe and Japan. She has trained with some of the best instructors in the World turning herself into both a near faultless technician and a proficient and gritty fighter. Like all the best students she has a superb work ethic and desire to improve all aspects of her karate constantly. It’s all about attitude and something that is true for all of the best in karate is they have a continuous pursuit for perfection. Not resting on previous accomplishments and always striving to do better because they know that the end goal is completely worth it. Something Emmie does consistently that we believe all students should copy is she sets herself a target and talks to her instructors about how achievable it is then sets a target time and comes up with a plan. Something she also applies to those she coaches.
Her most recent goal was to prepare for and take her Seiwakai and Japan Karate Federation 3rd dan grade. After an intense period of training both at the dojo and away from the class, she performed excellently and passed both her grade convincingly. Overall, Emmie is an exceptional student and coach, and one of the best role models for your own training.
